Annie Situ (Sydney, Australia) started Annie Makes Cakes with a passion to create authentic desserts for family and friends. Her concoctions of flavours, textures and style derive from her love for art and Australian-Chinese heritage. Annie began to pursue her pastry dream following high school when she was awarded a Patisserie scholarship. Following this, she continued to study Hospitality, Tourism and Marketing at UNSW, evolving her passion for pastry and entrepreneurship.
Annie continues in striving to create a range of authentic cakes made from scratch using only the best ingredients, drawing inspiration from her travel and career at Intercontinental Sydney. She aims to create unique and textural flavour combinations that capture the essence of her ethnic background. Interesting fact – Annie doesn’t really have a sweet tooth! So it explains why her cakes are not overly sweet.
